The Greensboro Selectboard is seeking letters of interest from voters who would like to serve on a Town Meeting Committee.
The committee will have the latitude to explore a wide range of questions about Town Meeting and our local democratic processes, and will be tasked by the Selectboard to propose creative solutions to challenges that are identified.
Topics of discussion could include: ways to make Town Meeting and the town budgeting process more inclusive and effective; ways to increase participation at Town Meeting; and an exploration of how other towns have improved their Town Meetings and their local democratic processes in general.
