The Greensboro Planning Commission is pleased to announce that the town has been awarded a Municipal Planning Grant from the State of Vermont.  The purpose of the grant is to hire a professional consulting group to explore with the townspeople a direction of how and where we may want to grow as a town.  What type of structures do we feel good about?  Where could higher density growth be—if at all?  What could a project actually feel and look like?   The consultant will look at available mapping. They will actively listen to what the people in Greensboro think and want through a robust public involvement process where there will be plenty of opportunities for feedback.

The Planning Commission will select the consultant from a pool of candidates in July then will follow up to focus on what the town wants to see moving forward.  We will use the outcomes to develop the Land Use and Housing goals in our next Town Plan.
