The 13th annual Caspian Challenges and 5K road race will be held on Sunday, July 28, at 8:30 a.m. at the ballfield in Greensboro (corner of Lake Shore Road and Breezy Avenue). The race consists of the classic 6.7 mile loop around Caspian Lake as well as a flat, out and back 5K race/walk. A laser etched collectible glass will be awarded to winners in each age category. The race, sponsored by the Greensboro Association, is a fundraiser for the Caspian Lake Adult Swim program. Register at the greensassociation.org ($15) or on race day ($20) starting at 7:15 a.m.
