The Greensboro Selectboard voted at their January 12, 2022 meeting to hold Town Meeting by Australian ballot vote. With that, there is the requirement that persons seeking election at Town Meeting submit a petition with 1% of the registered voters supporting them to be on the ballot (6 voters). Along with that, there is a Consent of Candidate form to be submitted at well. These forms are available for download on the Greensboro website at greensborovt.gov.
The offices that are up for election are:
Moderator (1 year)
Selectboard Member (2 year term)
Selectboard Member (3 year term)
Collector of Delinquent Taxes (1 year term)
2 Library Trustees (3 year term)
Cemetery Commissioner (3 year term)
Trustee of Public Funds (2 year term)
Hazen Union School District Board Member (3 year term)
These petitions need to be submitted by January 24th in the Town Clerk’s Office.
