The Planning Commission is a public advisory board and its purpose is to review and advise the Selectboard on public and private activities involving the physical, social, and economic development of the town and to review and make a comprehensive long-range plan for the development of the town (view the Town Plans). The Commission also reviews and advises the Selectboard on the creation and revision of town bylaws (view the Zoning By-Laws).

TOWN SURVEY
All residents of Greensboro are invited to fill out our town survey.

The deadline to return your survey is October 1st. Community Events will be scheduled to provide additional input and discuss survey results.
public hearing on bylaw changes
- At their February 2024 meeting, the Greensboro Planning Commission approved the proposed Miscellaneous and Shoreland Protection District Bylaw Amendments, which incorporated changes recommended by members of the public at the October GPC Public Hearing. These amendments were submitted to the Greensboro Selectboard on March 13, 2024, for their review.
- The Selectboard has scheduled a Public Hearing for July 25, 2024, on the proposed Miscellaneous Bylaw Amendments. Link to Miscellaneous Bylaw Amendment materials here.
- A Selectboard public hearing on the proposed Shoreland Protection District Amendments has not yet been scheduled. Greensboro community members are encouraged to review the proposed amendments and to stay tuned for when the Select Board schedules their Public Hearing. Link to SPD bylaw materials here
